04 / Good covers
Five things a good single cover does
It reads at thumbnail size
Your cover is often seen very small, in a list or a feed. If the idea still reads at 160 px, it is working.
One idea, not five
A strong cover has a clear subject and room around it. Extra detail turns into noise when it is small.
The title is easy to read
Place the title where it has contrast and breathing room, and keep the type to one or two sizes.
It matches the song
The colours and light should feel like the first ten seconds of the track. We start from the mood and lyrics for that reason.
It carries across formats
The Canvas, the lyric video and the shorts should look like the same release. Colours and type are what tie them together.
Here are our four examples at 160 px.

06 / Questions
Cover art questions
What size is the cover, and do I get a version without text?
The cover is 3000 × 3000 px, delivered as JPG and PNG, with the title and without it. Every file is checked against the size before delivery.
How is the cover made?
We start from the mood and the words of your song. After checkout you pick one of three watermarked covers, and we make the final files and the rest of your order from the one you choose.
What do I need to send?
The final mix (WAV or MP3), the song title and your artist name. Cover + Canvas does not need the lyrics. You can also tell us the mood you want, or point to one of the examples on this page.
Can I change the title or the look after delivery?
Each file can be redone once for free within 14 days after delivery. You also get a full refund any time before delivery.
Can you do a whole EP or album?
Each order is for one song. If you have several songs, email us and we will quote it.
Do I get anything besides the cover?
Yes. Cover + Canvas ($19, $14.9 in early access) includes a 5-second Spotify Canvas loop in the same look. The Release Kit ($79, $59 in early access) adds a lyric video and three 15-second shorts.
Where can I use the cover?
Anywhere you release and promote the song: streaming profiles, socials, YouTube and press. Commercial use is included; see the terms for the details.
Send the song. Pick the cover.
Three directions to choose from, then the final files.
